A Faith Story

Here goes nothing…well, hopefully something

Here goes!

For a long time, I’ve felt the importance of writing.  One of my main life philosophies centers on the importance of remembering.  Remembering the things the Lord has done, setting up those ‘altars’ in our lives to remind us of His goodness and faithfulness.  It compels us to worship, which is another passion of my heart.  To know the love of God, remember it, and worship Him for it.

Over the years I’ve wanted to express that as a song writer.  But I can’t ever seem to get anywhere with that.  Not to say that it might not come, but that’s not really where the Lord is leading me right now.

Then there’s the thought of books and blogs. I enjoy writing, but I always feel so inadequate.  When I look at the witty writings of folks like my friend Megan or the great, informative blog posts of the likes of Stephen Elliot, I am easily persuaded to believe I have nothing of great value to offer the blogging world.  But that’s not what God seems to think.  So, I’m doing it.  I’m going to put my thoughts out there for the world to reject or devour.  Do with it what you will, but I am determined to believe that God can do something with the writings poured out from a heart that’s seeking Him – to learn of Him and share the lessons along the way.

  1. Yay!! I’m so glad you started. I love the look of this…and I’m excited to read what comes from a heart that’s seeking Him. 😉

  2. The first words are always the hardest. Looks like it should be smooth sailing for you now =)

BTW, that Stephen fellow doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing. If he can come up with stuff to blog about, surely you can too.
